CHTM student Mostafa Peysokhan Wins Award

CHTM Student, Mostafa Peysokhan, won an Award of Excellence for his research poster presented at the 6th Workshop on Special Optical Fibers (WSOF) Conference.

The 6th WSOF conference is a biennial technical workshop and exhibit focused on advances and innovations in the field of specialty optical gibers and their applications. Following in the footsteps of the five previous workshops, WSOF 2019 brings together students and researchers from academia and industry, with an interest in fiber optics in a small and familiar setting that affords one-on-one opportunities for technical discussions and fellowships.
The award Mostafa received was for the Upper Graduate Poster Session. His poster entitled, "Measuring the anti-Stokes cooling parameters of a Yb-doped ZBLAN fiber for radiation balancing," won second place.
